Roby Dely Group Downtown stories

BMCCD029 2000

Roby Dely's first international success was at the Guitar Competition of Lausanne, in 1995, where he won first prize in the jazz category, among many of Europe's most talented guitarists.

Dely is an ardent follower of modern jazz and he is at home in both restricted and freer style. His compositions and improvisations are individual and unique. It is not often one hears music that is so mature from such a young musician. We introduce him as a significant representative of Central European jazz-life.
